Ashworth is a private, for-profit online college based in Norcross, Ga. The school offers more than 75 self-paced career and high school courses online as well as associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
Founded in 1987, Ashworth College has more than 25 years of experience working with distance learners. The current institution is the result of combining three schools—Professional Career Development Institute, Ashworth College and James Madison High School.
Ashworth College is accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council. Ashworth business programs do not have specialized accreditation.
Ashworth offers a variety of online business programs at the associate, bachelor’s and master’s levels. Associate business degree options include accounting, construction management, finance, general business and retail administration. Bachelor’s business programs include business administration, eBusiness, general studies and management. Ashworth offers a Master in Business Administration, Master in International Business and a Master of Science in Management.
Ashworth offers rolling admissions, so students can seek enrollment at any time of the year and begin their self-paced course work quickly after acceptance. Ashworth differs from other higher education institutions in that it does not require standardized test scores or high school grade point averages for admission. Ashworth prides itself on emphasizing equal access to higher education, regardless of previous academic performance. Applicants for undergraduate programs are required to present proof of a high school diploma from an accredited school, a GED or a home school portfolio. Applicants for master’s programs must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution with a minimum GPA of 2.5. No standardized tests such as the GRE or GMAT are required for admission to the graduate programs.
